Fall has me deep in its clutches already . . . how about you? The crispness in the air, the leaves changing color and collecting along the sidewalks, the winter birds returning to our yard, the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks . . . all good, good stuff.
On these chilly mornings, Hudson has taken to waking from his own bed and walking directly to ours, climbing in even though Paul and I exited its warmth hours before. He lies there, patiently waiting for me to set aside my work and walk down the hall to join him under the covers. Then we cuddle up as he tells me fascinating facts about Star Wars and Clone Troopers while twirling my hair around his little fingers. (Note to my memory: this one is a definite keeper. . . remember this always!)
We all move slower in the fall, more intent on savoring the moment than rushing through to the next activity. The temperatures have turned friendly again, and nature calls to us in a way that late summer just couldn't. There are walks to take and adventuring afoot. And the sunsets these days, well, just look:
Happy fall, everyone! Take a little time to enjoy the beauty all around you, both in and out of doors!
